Picture the crowds. Flags lining the streets of Bismarck-Mandan. Music echoing off the buildings as a 250-strong band steps off in perfect cadence on our country’s quarter-millennium birthday. This is the kind of moment students will talk about for the rest of their lives. Decades from now, they’ll tell their kids and grandkids that they were there — wearing the uniform, playing the music, marching the streets on the day America turned 250.
